Habit of Plant
|
A small tree growing to 3-15m tall. Leaves are dark green and leathery with spine pointed teath. |

Flowers
|
Has small white flowers, these are often overlooked as the bright red berries are highly attractive. (I will add a photo of these later). |

Occurance
|
Common, but less so in mid England and absent from the Caithness area. |
|
Location
|
In most areas such as hedgebanks, woods, scrub, on drier soils.
|
|
Seasons
|
Flowers April - August, Fruits in the winter November - January.
