Family Holly Family     Aquifollliaceae
Habit of Plant A small tree growing to 3-15m tall. Leaves are dark green and leathery with spine pointed teath.
Flowers Has small white flowers, these are often overlooked as the bright red berries are highly attractive. (I will add a photo of these later).
Occurance Common, but less so in mid England and absent from the Caithness area.
Location In most areas such as hedgebanks, woods, scrub, on drier soils.
Seasons Flowers April - August, Fruits in the winter November - January.
