Sepia elegans

Name:

Sepia elegans d’Orbigny 1826.

Description:

Elegant Cuttle Bone with a pink flush on the upperside, and less than 8 cms long.  Slender, ending with a minute keel on the back of the shell.

Range:

 “On sandy and muddy substrata, offshore, uncommon in coastal waters. W. Britain, S. to Mediterranean and SW Africa (Hayward et al. 1996).
